Kristina Collection embodies artistry, while preserving the heritage of glassmaking. Founded by Hana Stepanek, who was born in the Czech Republic and moved to the United States 30 years ago, the brand reflects her lifelong appreciation for creativity and fine arts.

Hana’s passion for jewelry stems from her artistic roots. She comes from a family of artists—her mother and grandmother were both painters—and is also an accomplished musician. This rich artistic background informs her designs and fuels her dedication to the Kristina Collection line, which she has been perfecting for over 20 years.

The jewelry line is named after Hana’s daughter, Kristina, adding a deeply personal touch to each creation. Drawing inspiration from the intricate techniques of Bohemian glassmaking, Kristina Collection crafts exquisite pieces using traditional glass and crystal beads. This art form, rooted in the Jizera Mountains of northern Bohemia, has defined European elegance for centuries, influencing creations such as glass flowers, vases, and chandeliers.

At Kristina Collection, this legacy is honored by blending time-tested techniques with modern aesthetics to create timeless, memory-wire jewelry. Each piece is hypoallergenic and nickel-free, ensuring that it is not only beautiful but also safe and comfortable for those with sensitive skin.

Whether you're drawn to the intricate beauty of our floral-inspired designs or the shimmering allure of the crystal accents, Kristina Collection offers jewelry that is as unique as it is meaningful—a true reflection of artistry, heritage, and personal passion.

The Process

The creation process begins in the Czech Republic and Germany, where the legacy of glassmaking inspires the work. Final assembly and finishing touches are completed in their studio located in Woodstock, Georgia. This blend of European artistry and American craftsmanship ensures each piece carries a rich story of tradition.

In The Studio

The Kristina Collection designs combine memory wire and metal components made from Tombac, a brass alloy containing copper and zinc. Each piece of wire is carefully cut and formed by hand, and the components are soldered together with precision to ensure durability and elegance. The wire and metal components are completed with a patina finish of black, silver, gold, or bronze.

The Czech and German glass beads are the result of an intricate, multi-step process. The glass is heated and pressed into molds, then cut and polished to perfection. A frosted finish is achieved by tumbling the beads with sand and water, giving them a soft, elegant texture. Due to the natural variations in glass, each bead may differ slightly in color, shape, and size, making every piece of jewelry truly one-of-a-kind.

Care and Cleaning

Care and Cleaning

Please avoid direct contact with water, excessive perspiration, chemicals, detergents, and lotions. We recommend that if you are applying perfume first, allow it to dry fully, and then put on your jewelry.

We recommend gently wiping the metal pieces occasionally with a polishing or cleaning cloth. The glass beads can be spot cleaned with any glass cleaner.Spray a small amount onto a small, woven cloth and wipe the bead down.Do not spray the cleaner directly onto the jewelry.

To avoid stretching the wire, do not slide bracelets over your hand. Instead, roll wrist through opening and then position on wrist.

Frequently Asked Questions

What size should I purchase?

Because of the flexible memory wire design, the necklaces and bracelets are one size fits most. Necklace circumferences range from 34-38 cm. If you would like to know how a necklace will fit, you will need to measure around the base of your neck, where your neckline meets your shoulders. This will give you your neck circumference. To do so, take a soft measuring tape, also known as tailor’s tape, or a piece of non-stretchy string, and measure all the way around the neck.

What is the jewelry made of? Is it safe for sensitive skin?

Yes. All of the jewelry is 100% hypoallergenic, and lead and nickel free. The necklaces and earrings are made with a copper-based alloy, and then coated in an enamel.

What should I do if a bead falls out?

If a bead falls out it can be glued back into place easily using any glue that is recommended for glass, such as super glue.Taking a very small amount of the glue, place it on the back of the bead and place the bead back into its setting. Be careful not to use too much glue,as it will spill over the sides of the setting and will be visible.
