Tana Acton

A life focused on creative and artistic expression, Tana Acton was born in Michigan and homeschooled throughout the United States and abroad. In Italy, she studied silversmithing with Glenda Arentzen and later completed an Antioch College BFA in painting and the Parsons School of Fashion Design program. With a career including graphic arts, dance, choreography, painting, and fashion design, she combines movement and light to create delicate and solid jewelry.

Each piece is created from a thread of precious metal, sterling silver, 12K gold-filled, or copper and wrapped precisely and firmly on its designated frame structure. Combining the classic textile technique of loom weaving with metalwork, the pieces created have a faceted effect from the light which showcases each individual crossing.
