SUGATHA ROEDER

SUGATHA ROEDER

The first step for creating my jewelry is going out into nature and collecting tiny natural plants and leaves. From these fresh plants I make imprints into a special mold material, then work those handmade texture tiles into the metal surfaces.

I had my first jewelry studio in Munich/Germany in the late 1970's. After getting a degree in Architecture and working in that field for nearly 30 years, I found myself making jewelry again......... Different and even more refined.

Even though I have been involved in artistic and creative work all my life and have experience in a variety of mediums, jewelry gives me the opportunity to make wearable art, which I enjoy the most.
